SESSIONS AVAILABLE IN-PERSON, ONLINE, OR PHONE
Sessions are available Monday through Friday including the lunch hour. The university aims to be flexible by offering administrative leave during work hours and sick or vacation time may be used for an EAP appointment.
To schedule a session for any of our services or to request more information, call 402.472.3107 (Toll Free: 888.445.9881) or send us an email at eap@unl.edu.
Leave Provisions
If you are referred by your supervisor and/or choose to inform your supervisor of your EAP appointment, you are eligible to use administrative leave up to a maximum of five hours per calendar year or you may arrange to use vacation or sick leave.
What to Expect
When you contact us for your first appointment, you will be asked some basic questions about your concerns and availability for an appointment.
At your first session, you will meet with one of our professional counselors who will complete an assessment, with your help, to determine the appropriate next steps. This session will last approximately 50-60 minutes. Together, you and your counselor will work out the best treatment plan to address your concerns. This may include referrals to other healthcare providers or community resources.
